Customer Testimonial

This was our second Pottinger wagon, upgrading from a Torro 4500 to the Torro 6010 Combiline with the intelligent axle, pickup support roller and double sided knives. The intelligent axle which automatically locks the steering axle when a pre-set speed is reached or on a hill is a great feature and with the double sided knives we can lift a large customer’s silage without having to worry about sharpening in between, and even with the heavy crops this year, the sharpening intervals with the new knives are longer. Our customers have been pleased with the shorter chop length which is more consistent than our old machine in all grasses. Overall, the wagon has been a great buy and we would recommend it to anyone.

About Pottinger

pottinger logo smallPottinger has been developing forage machinery since 1871, when the company was set up by Franz Pottinger in Grieskirchen, Austria. In 1950, they commenced mass production of hay loaders and windrowers. In 1956, the third generation of the Pottinger family took over the running of the business and in 1960 Pottinger became the world’s largest silage wagon manufacturer.

In 1975, Pottinger bought the Bavarian Plough Factory in Landsberg to expand the tillage range of machinery. In 2007, commissioning of a new factory for the production of tillage machinery took place in Vodnany, Czech Republic with further expansion taking place over the next 10 years.

In 2012, Pottinger set up three new sales offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Belgium to provide backup for their established dealer networks.

In 2015, Pottinger launched the innovative Impress round baler range catering for both the farmer and agricultural contractor.

Today, Pottinger is still an Austrian family owned company that contributes to a sustainable increase in effectiveness, efficiency and quality in agricultural production and that acts as a partner on whom its customers can rely. Customer care is not just a slogan at Pottinger, they actually promote it actively in all business relationships.
